The proposed use of the property at 404 Hampton Avenue by Pickens County Shelter of Hope. The appeal concerns the Zoning Administrator’s determination on the residential component of the proposed emergency-to-transitional housing and community resource center.
The City of Pickens Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 27, a 6:00 p.m. regarding an appeal related to the proposed transitional-lodging use at 404 Hampton Avenue.
The Board will review whether the zoning ordinance was interpreted and applied correctly to that specific use. The hearing is not a vote on the organization or its mission.

A hearing to determine a request to extend a 24-month variance granted for the temporary installation of a manufactured home for 12 additional months.
