📣 We’re Hiring: City Administrator
The City of Pickens is looking for an energetic, visionary leader to serve as our next City Administrator. You’d work alongside a supportive City Council with a bold vision for the future of our community, “Where the Mountains Begin.”
About the role:
- Reports to the 7-member City Council
- Leads 49 full-time staff across police, fire, recreation, public works, and municipal court
- Prepares and manages the city budget and capital improvements plan
- Guides a citywide strategic planning process and strengthens partnerships with the business community
What we’re looking for:
- At least 4 years of progressively responsible local government experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field (master’s preferred)
- An approachable leader and consensus builder who wants to be part of the community
💼 Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 DOQ, plus a vehicle allowance, SC retirement system, health, vision, and dental coverage, and professional development support.
