Experience an evening of authentic Appalachian music during Pickin’ in Pickens, a downtown bluegrass jam series where musicians gather throughout downtown to play traditional bluegrass and old-time music in an informal jam setting.
Unlike a concert, there is no stage or featured band. As you stroll through downtown, you’ll discover multiple bluegrass jam sessions hosted by participating businesses, each offering its own unique musical experience. Enjoy an evening of live acoustic music while exploring local shops, restaurants, and downtown attractions.
Are you a musician? Bring your acoustic instrument and join in the jam! Bluegrass jams are built on participation, and musicians of all skill levels are welcome to pull up a chair, share a tune, and help keep this Appalachian tradition alive.
This free, family-friendly event celebrates Appalachian heritage, supports local businesses, and brings the community together through one of the region’s most cherished traditions.
