These are the ONLY operational shelters currently available in Pickens County.
The City of Pickens Winter Storm Shelter is OPEN and operating 24 hours a day.

• Bathrooms and showers available
🧣 Warming & Aid Station – OPEN 24 HOURS
The City of Pickens Warming and Aid Station is OPEN and operating 24 hours a day at:

219 Pendleton Street, Pickens
The Warming and Aid Station provides:
• Bathrooms
• Showers (please bring your own shower supplies)
• Internet access and mobile device charging
🚐 Transportation Assistance Available
If you cannot make it to the shelter, please contact us and we will come pick you up.

🐾 Pet Policy
Only service animals are permitted to remain with their owners.
All other pets must be crated and will be housed in an adjacent, climate-controlled room. Please bring food, medications, and any other necessities for your pets.
🫁 Residents Using Portable Oxygen
Those who rely on portable oxygen must bring their oxygen equipment, supplies, and chargers. Oxygen is not provided at shelter locations.

Bed linens, blankets, pillows, medications, and other essential personal items.
