City of Pickens Announcement

The City of Pickens is pleased to announce that Davey Hiott will work alongside Council in a leadership role during the search for our next City Administrator.

Davey brings decades of public service and deep Pickens roots to this role. A lifelong Pickens County resident, he represented House District 4 in the South Carolina House of Representatives for 22 years, from 2005 to 2026. During that time he served as House Majority Leader and chaired the House Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee. He has been recognized twice by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce with its Business Advocate Award.

Locally, Davey owns Hiott Printing Company and has long been active in the community through Pickens First Baptist Church and the Rotary Club of Pickens.

Mr. Hiott will help guide day-to-day operations and support Council and city staff through this transition, ensuring city services continue smoothly while the search is underway. Please join us in welcoming him to this role. We’ll share updates on the City Administrator search as the process moves forward.
